Private Jet Charter
from Jackson Hole
Depart the Tetons on your schedule. JAC is one of the most operationally specific airports in the country, and Chronos Air Group manages the slot windows, noise restrictions and mountain crew requirements that define every Jackson Hole flight.
The Tetons,
On Your Schedule
Jackson Hole is the most demanding private aviation market in the Mountain West, and JAC is unlike any other airport in the country. It is the only commercial airport located inside a US national park, operates under voluntary noise abatement, applies slot restrictions through peak winter and summer seasons, and enforces aircraft suitability requirements that disqualify entire categories of jet. Every Jackson Hole departure requires an advisor who has flown these procedures before.
As a Hightail Air Charter LLC operation, Chronos Air Group arranges JAC departures for the seasonal residents of Wilson, Teton Village, Spring Creek Ranch and Shooting Star, the year-round ranching and conservation community, and the tech, finance and family office clients who have made Wyoming their tax residence. We secure slots, match noise-compliant aircraft, and crew the route with pilots who know the Teton approach in any weather.
Popular Routes from Jackson Hole
The most-requested private jet routes from JAC. All pricing is estimated and varies by aircraft type, routing, and slot availability.
Jackson Hole to Denver
A 1-hour 15-minute southeast hop and the gateway route between the Tetons and the Front Range. The standard positioning route for clients connecting to Denver business, or for catching weather windows when JAC visibility is restricted. Light and midsize jets operate this corridor daily through ski season.
Jackson Hole to Los Angeles
A 2-hour 15-minute southwest crossing to Southern California. A consistent year-round corridor for the LA-based Jackson seasonal community. Midsize jets handle the route with Van Nuys or Burbank as the standard arrival for direct ground access to the Westside and Malibu.
Jackson Hole to San Francisco Bay
A 2-hour westbound crossing connecting Jackson Hole to the Silicon Valley technology corridor. Driven by the Bay Area's strong representation in the Wilson and Teton Village seasonal community. Light and midsize jets, arriving at San Carlos or San Jose for direct Sand Hill Road access.
Jackson Hole to New York
A 4-hour eastbound transcontinental connecting Jackson to the New York financial sector. Super-midsize and heavy jets are standard, arriving at Teterboro or Westchester with full Wi-Fi and conference seating. The primary corridor for finance, family office and BigLaw clients with seasonal Teton homes.
Jackson Hole to Aspen / Sun Valley
A 50-minute mountain-to-mountain hop between Jackson and Aspen, or under an hour to Sun Valley. The signature western ski circuit route. Light jets with ASE-certified crews are standard, and Chronos manages the slot coordination on both ends through peak season.
Jackson Hole to Cabo San Lucas
A 4-hour southbound crossing to Los Cabos and the signature winter sun escape for the Jackson community. Midsize and super-midsize jets handle the route with full international handling and customs processing managed at SJD on arrival.

Jackson Hole Private Jet Airports
JAC is the only commercial airport in the Jackson Hole valley. For specific cases, three alternative or positioning airports are available within driving range of the Tetons.
The Only Airport Inside a US National Park
Jackson Hole Airport is the primary and effectively the only departure point for private aviation in the Tetons. Located inside Grand Teton National Park, it operates under voluntary noise abatement, applies peak-season slot restrictions through ski season and summer, and disqualifies Stage 2 and certain older aircraft on noise grounds. Jackson Hole Aviation operates the FBO.
The Idaho-Side Alternative
Driggs-Reed Memorial is on the Idaho side of the Tetons in Teton Valley, accessed from Jackson over Teton Pass. Used when JAC slots are unavailable, weather restricts JAC operations, or when clients are based in Driggs, Victor or the Teton Valley. A dedicated general aviation facility with no commercial traffic.
The Primary Positioning Airport
Idaho Falls Regional is the standard positioning airport for aircraft serving JAC. When JAC slot restrictions, weather or noise compliance prevent direct operations, aircraft frequently position into IDA and the client connects by ground or helicopter. A larger airport with full handling and unrestricted aircraft access.
The Southern Wyoming Alternative
Ralph Wenz Field in Pinedale is the rarely-used southern Wyoming alternative for Jackson Hole charter, typically reserved for clients in the southern Hoback or Pinedale ranching corridor, or for specific operational scenarios when JAC is fully restricted. Limited handling, light to midsize jet capable.

A Different Standard
of Private Aviation
Chronos Air Group was built for clients who regard private aviation not as a convenience, but as a professional standard. JAC is the airport where that standard matters most. There is no improvising past slot windows, noise rules and Teton weather.
We do not move volume. We manage experience.
Safety First
All operators in our network hold FAA Part 135 certification. Crew vetting, maintenance logs, and safety records are reviewed on every booking.
Peak-Season Slot Management
Christmas, Presidents' weekend, July 4th and August at JAC are slot-restricted. We secure slot windows before they close and coordinate FBO handling around them.
Mountain Airport Expertise
JAC's terrain, noise abatement and weather minimums are routine work for our advisors and operator network. We crew the route with pilots who know the Teton approach.
Dedicated Flight Coordinator
One point of contact from initial enquiry through post-flight follow-up. You speak to a person, not a portal.
"Our family is in Wilson for six months of the year and New York for the rest. JAC during Christmas week is the hardest slot to hold in private aviation. Chronos has held it for us three years running. Nobody else even attempts the conversation properly."
Everything You Need to Know About Flying Private from Jackson Hole
How Do JAC's Slot Restrictions Work During Peak Season?
Jackson Hole Airport applies slot restrictions during peak demand periods, principally the Christmas and New Year window, Presidents' Day weekend, late February through early March ski peak, July 4th week and August. During these windows, available arrival and departure slots are limited and fill weeks in advance. A flight into or out of JAC without a confirmed slot during a restricted window is not a flight. Chronos Air Group secures slot windows in advance of peak periods and coordinates FBO and ground handling around the assigned time. Booking early matters enormously for JAC peak season.
Are There Aircraft Restrictions at Jackson Hole Airport?
Yes. JAC operates under voluntary noise abatement and disqualifies Stage 2 aircraft and certain older airframes on noise grounds. The airport also enforces voluntary nighttime curfew quiet hours and prioritises noise-compliant aircraft for slot allocation. Most modern Stage 3 and Stage 4 jets operate freely, but specific aircraft types should be confirmed with an advisor before booking. We match every JAC mission to a noise-compliant aircraft as part of the standard quote.
What Is the Best Time to Fly Private from Jackson Hole?
For non-peak departures, JAC handles private operations efficiently year-round with strong weather minimums through summer and shoulder seasons. The operationally hardest windows are December 18 through January 5, the week around Presidents' Day, July 4th week, and the second and third weeks of August. For these dates we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance to secure slots and aircraft. The easiest periods are May, late September through November and the spring shoulder season after Easter.
How Long is the Flight from Jackson Hole to New York by Private Jet?
The Jackson Hole to New York crossing takes approximately 4 hours eastbound by super-midsize or heavy jet from JAC to Teterboro or Westchester. Eastbound times benefit from tailwinds and are typically faster than westbound. The route is one of the most consistent private aviation corridors in the western United States, driven by the New York financial sector's strong representation in the Jackson seasonal community.
Does Chronos Air Group Offer Jet Cards for Jackson Hole Clients?
Yes. Our Jet Card Program provides pre-purchased flight hours at fixed hourly rates with guaranteed availability and no blackout dates. For seasonal Jackson residents who run a regular New York, LA, Bay Area or Cabo schedule between their two or three homes, a Jet Card delivers cost certainty and priority slot handling at JAC through peak season.
