What Is Group Charter

Built for the way
your team moves.

Group charter is private aviation arranged around a corporate movement rather than an individual passenger. A board offsite, a multi-city roadshow, an M&A diligence trip, a sales kick-off. The flight schedule is built around the meeting calendar, not the other way around.

Chronos coordinates aircraft from 8-seat midsize jets through 50-seat VIP-configured airliners and full narrow-body aircraft for the largest movements. One contract covers the entire itinerary. One flight desk handles every segment. One invoice settles the account.

For executive teams, the operational simplicity is the product. Your assistants make a single call. Your CFO sees a single line item. Your travelling team arrives on schedule, together, every time.

Right aircraft.
Right group size.

Group charter is not one product. The right aircraft for a 10-person board offsite is not the right aircraft for a 40-person sales conference. Chronos sources across the entire spectrum and matches the aircraft to the movement.

01

Midsize and Super Midsize

8 to 10 passengers · 3 to 5 hour range

For smaller executive teams and short to mid-range domestic movements. Forward galley, enclosed lavatory, executive seating, and a cabin quiet enough for conference calls in flight. The default category for board offsites and small leadership meetings.

Typical aircraft
Citation XLS+ · Hawker 800XP · Learjet 60XR · Citation Sovereign
02

Heavy and Super Heavy

10 to 16 passengers · 5 to 8 hour range

The workhorse category for transcontinental and short transatlantic movements. Stand-up cabin, dedicated crew rest on longer aircraft, full galley with hot catering capability, and the room for working in flight with documents and screens.

Typical aircraft
Challenger 605 / 650 · Falcon 2000LXS · Gulfstream G280 · Legacy 650
03

Ultra Long Range

12 to 16 passengers · 12+ hour range

For non-stop intercontinental movements where time zones and meeting windows compress. New York to Tokyo, London to Singapore, Los Angeles to Sydney in a single segment. Multiple zones, full crew rest, bedrooms and dedicated meeting space on the largest aircraft.

Typical aircraft
Gulfstream G650 / G700 · Global 6000 / 7500 · Falcon 8X
04

VIP Airliner and Narrow-Body

30 to 200 passengers · Regional to long haul

For sales conferences, full-team offsites, investor days, and any movement above 20 passengers. Custom seating configurations, branded cabin elements, and operational consistency that scales. Operated under FAR Part 121 supplemental certificates where applicable.

Typical aircraft
ACJ319 · BBJ 737 · Embraer Lineage 1000 · A330 (charter configuration)
Why Chronos for Groups

Six reasons corporate teams
charter as a group.

01

The team arrives together

For board meetings, M&A signings, and presentations, the team needs to land together, prepared, and on schedule. Group charter removes the variability of commercial connections, missed flights, and scattered arrival times. Everyone is on the same aircraft, on the same timeline.

02

Work in flight, not around it

Private cabins permit the kind of work commercial cabins do not. Confidential briefings, rehearsals, document review, and pre-meeting alignment happen in the air. Travel time becomes preparation time.

03

One contract, one invoice

Whether the trip involves one aircraft and one segment or six aircraft across a twelve-city roadshow, the entire movement runs under a single Chronos engagement. Finance receives one consolidated invoice with the routing reconciled.

04

Discretion at the operational level

Manifests stay restricted. Flight plans can be filed without public broadcast where the operator permits. For sensitive movements like diligence trips, regulatory hearings, or talent acquisition, the operational protocols are designed for confidentiality.

05

Schedule built around your calendar

Departure times move when the meeting times move. Return segments hold for late-running sessions. The aircraft and crew belong to your itinerary for the duration of the engagement, not to a published timetable.

06

Vetted operators across categories

Every aircraft in our network operates under FAR Part 135 or Part 121 certification with priority given to ARGUS rated, Wyvern Wingman, and IS-BAO verified carriers. The same safety standard applies whether the trip moves 8 passengers or 80.

Before You Book

The honest reality.
Lead time matters most.

Lead Time

Midsize and heavy jet groups under 16 passengers can typically be sourced within 24 to 72 hours. VIP airliners (30 to 50 seats) require 4 to 8 weeks of lead time for one-way segments, particularly to or from less common airports. Last-minute large group charter is possible but routing options narrow significantly inside 14 days.

Commitment

Group charter operates on graduated cancellation schedules. Standard terms retain 25 percent at 30 days, 50 percent at 14 days, and 100 percent inside 7 days for larger aircraft. Smaller midsize jet groups carry more flexible terms. Specific cancellation provisions are confirmed in the charter agreement before signature.

For executive teams with firm meeting dates, board calendars, and signing windows, group charter is the most efficient way to move. For movements where dates remain unconfirmed beyond 14 days from departure, our advisors will work to your decision window rather than pressure a premature commitment.

Common Questions

Group charter questions,
answered plainly.

How many passengers can fly on a group charter?

Group charter typically refers to flights with 8 or more passengers. The Chronos network sources aircraft from 8-seat midsize jets through 12 to 16-seat heavy jets, 19-seat regional turboprops, 30 to 50-seat VIP-configured airliners, and full-size narrow-body or wide-body aircraft for movements over 100 passengers. The right aircraft depends on group size, route distance, and onboard configuration requirements.

How far in advance should we book?

For smaller midsize and heavy jet groups (8 to 14 passengers), 7 to 14 days notice is comfortable. For VIP airliners (30 to 50 seats), 4 to 8 weeks is the standard lead time, particularly for one-way segments or remote destinations. Chronos accepts shorter notice on a best-efforts basis and can frequently source aircraft within 24 to 72 hours for urgent corporate movements.

Can the aircraft be branded for our company or event?

Yes. For longer term contracts or multi-segment movements, headrest covers, in-cabin signage, and printed materials can be branded with corporate identity. Exterior livery is rarely possible on short charter terms, but interior personalisation including catering, amenity kits, and onboard documentation is standard. Specific branding requirements should be raised at the enquiry stage.

How is payment structured?

Standard terms are 50 percent deposit on contract signing and balance 7 days before departure for one-off charters. Established corporate clients receive net-30 invoicing terms after initial flight history is established. Wire transfer is the standard method. Credit card and ACH are available for smaller midsize jet bookings.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms scale with aircraft category and lead time. Midsize and heavy jets typically allow cancellation up to 72 hours before departure for full deposit refund. VIP airliner movements operate on graduated cancellation schedules with most operators retaining 25 percent at 30 days, 50 percent at 14 days, and 100 percent inside 7 days. All terms are confirmed in your specific charter agreement before signature.

Can Chronos coordinate multi-segment or multi-aircraft trips?

Yes. Chronos regularly coordinates roadshow itineraries with 6 to 12 city stops, executive offsite movements requiring multiple aircraft from different origins, and continent-spanning corporate retreats. Single point of contact across the entire itinerary, single contract, single invoice. Complex logistics including ground transport, hotel coordination, and catering arrangements are handled by our flight desk.

Are all group charter operators properly certified?

Yes. Smaller aircraft operate under FAR Part 135 Direct Air Carrier certificates. Larger aircraft above 30 seats operate under FAR Part 121 commuter or scheduled carrier rules where applicable. Chronos prioritises ARGUS rated, Wyvern Wingman, and IS-BAO verified operators. Operator safety records and recent audit certificates are available on request for any flight in our network.

What confidentiality protections does Chronos offer?

Standard practice for all corporate movements. Passenger manifests are restricted to flight crew, operator dispatch, and Chronos flight desk only. NDAs are signed by Chronos staff before sensitive briefings. For M&A diligence trips, board offsites, and any movement where market timing matters, flight plans and tail numbers are kept off public tracking systems where the operator permits. Discretion is the default, not an upgrade.
